Natural Hair Spray
A simple DIY hairspray using natural ingredients .So easy to make and works great , its also less expensive and much healthier for hair .Switching to homemade hair spray is a much safer option, especially if you are working on getting toxins out of your home.
Conventional hairspray is full of chemicals that you shouldn’t breathe in and most certainly not spray on your head. Hair sprays can cause irritation to the eyes, nose, throat, skin, and lungs with inhaled.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup water
- 1.5 tablespoons white sugar .
- 1 tablespoon high proof alcohol (I have used Vodka)
- Glass bottle with atomizer
- Optional essential oil ( few drops )
*Adjust the sugar up or down for more or less stiffness/hold (more sugar=stronger hold) but don’t add too much or hair will feel sticky. Brown sugar, coconut sugar, honey, and other natural sugars will not work in this recipe.
*If you don't want to use alcohol ,you can leave it out and just use a sugar .It just will not last as long . The hard proof alcohol and essential oils act as a natural preservative.
- Bring the water to a boil over high heat and then add in the sugar.
- Stir the sugar water until all the sugar is dissolved.
- Remove the pot from the heat and allow it to cool.
- Once cooled, add in the alcohol and essential oils.
- Transfer to a glass spray bottle for storage.
I hope you've enjoyed this diy hairspray recipe .

Recipe - Millet yogurt
Today for dessert I did something new, namely dessert - yogurt mainly from millet.
My children unfortunately do not like eat millet and if they see it on a plate they will not eat it so I decided to smuggle this dish somehow to diet of my children today, and I tell you that the idea went well. The children were satisfied with the yogurt and asked for an extra, which made me extremely happy.
A very quick and simple recipe.
For preparation we will need:
- less than a glass of millet
- about 4 glasses of vegetable milk I used almond milk
- agave syrup, or any other healthy sugar substitute, can be stevia or xylitol
-fruits, they can also be frosty, I used frozen strawberries and half mangoes.
A method of preparing :
1. Pour millets with 4 cups of vegetable milk, add maple syrup (4 tablespoons) and cook on low heat until tender (about 20 minutes), if someone likes a sweeter taste, you can add more syrup.
2. When the millets cools down, I added fruit (if the millet is too thick, add a little bit of vegetable milk to have a more watery consistency.

Coffee with cardamom & cinnamon
Hi ,
Few months ago I wrote a post what I drink instead of coffee https://vikki2603.blogspot.com/2016/10/healthy-coffee-alternative.html , but today I have to confess few weeks ago I started to drink coffee again ( not everyday) but every here and there . I tried green tea , mate tea ,matcha tea, non caffeine coffee ( still I think these alternative are great )but I really like to start my day with cup of coffee ( but before drinking coffee I always drink glass of water with lemon , never drink coffee on an empty stomach) .
Difference between now and old days is before I didn't bother what type of coffee I drunk -normally it was any instant coffee , now I only drink organic brewed coffee and I always add some cinnamon and 1 seed of cardamom - why -? ( many of the vitamins and essential oils in cardamom act as antioxidants, cleaning up free radicals and resisting cellular aging. Like ginger and turmeric, its relatives, cardamom has some anti-inflammatory properties that limit pain and swelling, especially in mucus membranes, the mouth, and throat.Cardamom is related to ginger and can be used in much the same way to counteract digestive problems. Use it to combat nausea, acidity, bloating, gas, heartburn, loss of appetite, constipation, and much more).
And you ? how do you like to drink your coffee?.
